Their Christian names are never given; throughout the play the couple are referred to only as "Lord" and "Lady" Capulet.
Interestingly, a historical source for the Capulet legacy was just brought to attention today by another of our editors. Apparently, there is a home in Verone dating to the 13th century that is thought to have been the inspiration for Shakespeare's setting of the Capulet house and grounds. To this day, starry-eyed and star-crossed lovers leave the remenants of their bleeding hearts affixed to the ancient walls.
