In the renaissance periods, how did art come into existence?

Art existed long before the Renaissance. The Renaissance was a cultural and intellectual movement that is thought to have began in Florence, Italy and eventually spread to all of Europe. It began in the 14th century and lasted until the 17th century.


Art was highly appreciated during the Renaissance. There were also many renowned artists such as Leonardo de Vinci, Donatello and Michelangelo.


People start looking for the "beauty" in life. The Renaissance followed such disasters as the Black Death so people were ready for a fresh, new start. During the Black Death there was a lot of death and famine. People wanted to start over.
