What is the author's style in "A Thousand Splendid Suns"? And an example, please?

"A Thousand Splendid Suns" is a work of fiction that is based on reality.  The story of the two women Mariam and Laila and the terrible things that happen to them in an environment where men have absolute power supported by religioius fanatacism.

This work, exhibits the author's ability to convey sadness and the tragic lives of these two women who are caught in the middle of a war.  It is packed with raw emotion, the reader feels like he/she is experiencing the horrors of war, as well as the torturous life that the two women live.

"Hosseini has been praised both for the high quality of his prose as well as for his skill at keeping an audience engaged with his stories. He also has the ability to mix captivating characters with the history that surrounds them."

"He can dig into the emotions of his characters to make them feel real, almost as if he were telling the stories of real people he has long known."
