It depends...is the bleeding immediately after sex or weeks after sex?

If it is immediately after sex then I would say that perhaps something inside the woman (for example, the hymen) has a minor rip or tear.

Bleeding from a miscarriage does not happen because a woman has sex. Rather, it happens randomly, usually due to an abnormality of the fetus. There is usually pain associated with miscarriages as well.

The best thing to do is to see a doctor. They will be able to give you the best advice by conducting and examination and running tests if necessary. In addition, remember it is VERY important to always follow safe sex rules. This means the use of condoms. If birth control is used it is still possible to get STD's.
